A Hotel Photo, an Artist’s view
This is how the Hôtels Paris Rive Gauche group shows its commitment to sponsoring a cultural project through modern photography.
The concept of the project is simple: each month, a photographer chooses just one photograph and a small piece of text, both inspired by a night spent at one of our hotels.
The photo and text are displayed on our site, together with a mini portfolio of the photographer’s work: Photo gallery.
Through the project, we hope to help new talents emerge and prosper. We also follow their development in the "Hôtels Paris Rive Gauche group loves photography" section of our Paris Newsblog.
A prize of 3,000 euros is given each year by a jury of industry professionals, and another is decided by the staff of all our hotels who thus contribute to the project.
Each year, the artistic director of the project commissions a new set of work from an artist who is given carte blanche. The result is shown for the first time at the opening of a yearly exhibition.
